EICR
What is an EICR?
EICR basically stands for Electrical Installation Condition Report. It is a formal document issued by a qualified electrical engineer/electrician after an assessment of an electrical installation.
If you are a landlord and thinking about renting your house, an EICR will be enough to prove that all electrical installations in your property are safe and working properly. The report must be prepared after a good assessment by a professional with vast experience in checking and fixing electrical installations to avoid any inconvenience or unnecessary legal troubles related to home safety.
EIRC will:
Reveal if any of your electrical circuits or equipment are overloaded
Find any potential electrical shock risks and fire hazards in your electrical installation
Identify any defective DIY electrical work
Highlight any lack of earthing or bonding
Tests are also carried out to check the safety of wiring and fixed electrical equipment.
